MODERN SPACES FOR OLD SOULS
INTERIORS • RENOVATIONS • ADDITIONS
RESIDENTIAL, COMMERCIAL, & HOSPITALITY DESIGN
You want a space that not only looks well-designed, but feels that way: comfortable, functional, luxurious. An old building needs to be updated for modern living and a new one needs to be infused with character. Good design respects the architecture of a building, while updating it for life today. At Laurel Design Collective, we’re experts in designing modern spaces for old souls. We create spaces that are sophisticated, lasting, and livable. With an established, clear process, our interior design studio guides you through the design, oversees the implementation, and makes your dreams come true.
Designed For You
Your space should be a reflection of you, your life, your family, your culture, your brand. Welcome to your interior architectural design studio. We’re your resource for bringing your personality into your environment.
We don’t have a predetermined style. We design your space for you. At the start, we spend the time with our clients to dive into the details of how they work, play, and live so we can design with them in mind. We don’t have a design agenda; each project is a unique collaboration between our design team and you, our client.
A full-service interior design studio, we offer comprehensive design, from walls to silverware. Our projects range from personal homes to restaurants, offices, and more.

Quality Materials, Healthy Choices
Have you ever bought a sofa only to have the cushions look awful and saggy a year later? Or bought a rug online and unwrapped it to a stinky, chemical scent? Laurel Design Collective spends time researching and learning about materials, construction methods, and quality goods, so you don’t need to! We look into each and every material we select in order to provide you with the highest quality. We want everything from the accent chair by your fireplace to your kitchen countertops to stand the test of time.
Annually, we review the red-list materials put out by the Living Future Institute as well as health provider Kaiser Permanente to ensure the choices we make for your home or business are not only beautiful and functional, but also healthy for you and the environment. We avoid known carcinogens, toxic chemicals, and other nasty stuff. Every selection is considered for durability, environmental impact, and indoor air quality.
As a member of the Good Future Design Alliance, we prioritize sustainable, healthy, future-thinking design. Where projects allow, we enjoy working with LEED, Healthy Building Challenge, or Passiv Haus standards. Reach out to us today if you want to know more about furnishing, building, or renovating sustainably!
What Our Clients Say
“Steady and uplifting experience“
“I’ve heard from friends that design and renovating can be stressful, but working with LDC was really fun. They took my tastes and ideas and helped me make my dream bathroom and bedroom. Laurel is a smart, talented designer with an amazing eye for color. My house feels like a home now – the perfect place for me to be me.”
-Alexandra | Bathroom Renovation
“The perfect fit”
Laurel is extremely talented, she helped establish our style as a young family. She kept our budget in mind and also how we used the spaces everyday. Our initial work with Laurel was two rooms, we now have 6 rooms with her touch. Laurel also helped us with exterior plans to create a functional outdoor seating area.
-Kristen, FF&E, Exterior Landscaping
“Saves us every time“
“LDC saved us time, money, and stress (and probably marital counseling!). Laurel had a magical ability to quickly choose the perfect pieces for our space, taste, and budget, including furniture and accessories that would stand up to toddlers and cats but still look stylish. Every time we’ve had a design project since then, from lighting to landscaping, we’ve come back to Laurel.”
-Chris and Gina | Whole House FF&E, Landscaping
“Great experience!“
Laurel responded quickly to every request and went above expectations. Our ADU was under construction and I couldn’t figure out how to make the space work for everything I needed. Laurel got the plans from the engineer, and in no time sent me options. I love how flexible the space is. Highly recommend working with Laurel.”
-Renee | ADU Floor Plan
